WhatsApp’s farewell note for 2017 is not good news for some smartphone users. WhatsApp will stop working on some listed old software like Windows Phone 8.0, BlackBerry OS, and BlackBerry 10 and other older device from the end of this year 31st December 2017.
To recollect, WhatsApp had stretched support for both platforms from June this year. At the same time, WhatsApp had also exposed that the WhatsApp will stop working for older smartphones running Nokia S40 will be stopped from December 31, 2018. The application will stop working on some smartphones running under older software like Android 2.3.7 and older (Gingerbread) will be stopped from February 1, 2020. The messaging app became unavailable on Nokia smartphones which are running under Symbian S60, from June 30, 2017.
Current software support for Blackberry and Windows Phone has seen no further allowances and will come into place on the revealed date. If your smartphone has any of the two definite OS, you should think through upgrading to a newer smartphone in order to access WhatsApp without worry. WhatsApp updates for other OS versions like Windows Phone 7, Android 2.1, Android 2.2, and iOS 6 were stopped already in 2016.
WhatsApp, past this month, officially removed covers off its new individual application for businesses, which features both verified and non-verified profiles. This gives dealings a proper route to ways business on the messaging application.
