Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (part II):

Other Features: Button placement on the Xperia Z3 Compact is the same as on the full size Xperia Z3. Whereas the location of the power button in the middle of the right hand side is a good relief for the users of the larger Xperia Z3 who don’t have to stretch to the top side of the phone’s body, with the smaller Z3 Compact the placement doesn’t feel so important at all. One of the most important things is that the button placement on the Xperia Z3 Compact is the same as on the full sized Xperia Z3. There is no such change at all. The phone again impresses the audiences with its Gorrila Glass covering the front and back that gives it an alluring and premium look. The power button’s location in the middle of the right- hand side. It is just next to cherry on the cupcake for those users who do not wish to stretch to the top side of the phone’s body and with the smaller Z3 Compact is not at all so important in order to use well. The power button is very well comfortable to reach along with the volume controls and the camera button below it. The Xperia Z3 Compact comes in four vibrant colors. These are white, black, orange and green. They will surely look very alluring. The orange and green versions have the same black front as the black version, whereas the while color is white all over. And very well, it is waterproof! With IP65 and IP68 ratings which simply state that it can be submerged in up to 1.5m of fresh water for 30 minutes. This implies that most of its ports are hidden under plastic covers. One port that doesn’t need to be covered to be waterproof is the headphone jack which is convenient while not compromising the waterproof nature of the Xperia Z3 Compact.

Key Features: The biggest selling point of the new Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is the way Sony has managed to fit most of the vibrant features, specs and its overall experience of the Sony Xperia Z3 into a smaller and cheaper handset. A smaller variant of a flagship Smartphone comes with a lot of compromises that often keeps wit away from reaching the lofty heights of its larger brethren. For a small instance, the HTC One Mini 2 comes with a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and 1 GB of RAM as compared to the full size HTC One M8’s 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 and 2 GB of RAM.

Future Parity: The credit simply goes to Sony that the all new Sony Xperia Z3 Compact doesn’t suffer from such large discrepancies that are being compared to its predecessor, Sony Xperia Z3. Both these phones feature a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor along with an Adreno 330 GPU. They also feature the same camera as well, with a 20.7 mega pixels camera Exmor RS sensor with a 25mm G lens and ISO 12800 settings. It simply doesn’t mean that they both are identical in specs and there have been compromises.
