Saving YouTube Videos with Movavi Screen Recorder

Do you like to watch music videos, entertaining clips, or even how-to guides on YouTube? Have you ever wanted to save one of those videos so that you could watch it later without having to be online to stream it?

As you probably know YouTube doesn’t have an option to ‘save’ videos, but with Movavi Screen Recorder you can do that anyway. Basically you will need to use it to record the YouTube video from your screen, and you can save it later as a video file then watch it at any time or on any device.

The best part about learning how to save a YouTube video with Movavi Screen Recorder is that it is really very simple. In fact it is so easy that you should be able to set it up and start recording in just a couple of minutes – even if it is your first time using the software.

If you’ve already downloaded and installed Movavi Screen Recorder, open up the YouTube video that you want to save and launch the software. The first thing you’ll have to do is draw a frame over the YouTube video using your mouse cursor – so that it records that part of your screen.

Another way to define the capture area is to open up the list under ‘Capture Area’ on Movavi Screen Recorder’s interface. In that list you’ll find many presets, including those that are specifically designed for YouTube or others that will let you record in full screen.

Also on the interface you’ll see a ‘System Audio’ icon that should be highlighted by default and a ‘Microphone’ icon that should not be. Click to toggle either icon if necessary, or if not just leave them as is. If you want Movavi Screen Recorder to automate the recording click on the ‘alarm clock’ icon to set a timer or schedule the start and stop time.

All you need to do to record the YouTube video once everything else is set up is click ‘REC’ and play the video. When it is over click ‘Stop’ and a preview window will appear that lets you go over the video, save it in a different format, or even trim out any unwanted footage. By default Movavi Screen Recorder will save the video that you recorded in MKV as soon as it is done recording, so if you don’t want to use a different format and haven’t made any other changes you don’t really need to save it again.

As you can see recording YouTube videos with Movavi Screen Recorder is really quite easy, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Now that you can record your screen there are many other things you can do, including saving other online streaming videos, Skype calls, and more.
