Google is Letting Celebrities Answer Questions Directly with Selfies in Google Search Results

Yesterday 7th December, Google is launched a new Google search feature. That will have celebrities answering commonly searched questions about themselves in the form of selfie-videos that show up at the top. This is only for mobile Google search results not for Pc users.

Initially, the selfie-videos are being tested only in the United States. These selfie-videos will maintain the originality of the concept.

In a blog post, Google said that it had started showing the new feature with some celebrities, namely, Priyanka Chopra, Will Ferrell, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gina Rodriguez, Kenan Thompson, Jonathan Yeo, Allison Williams, Dominique Ansel, Nick Jonas, Seth MacFarlane, James Franco, and Mark Wahlberg.

For Example: “How many languages Priyanka Chopra speaks”, “can will Ferrell really play the drums” or “can Tracee Ellis Ross sing”, you can watch a pre-recorded video from Chopra or Ferrell answering the question, offering a “uniquely personal, authentic and delightful touch straight from the source.”

The company says, “This feature is presently being showed only on Android mobile users in the United States”. Google is also considering increasing this feature to include lesser known celebs in the upcoming days. The blog post also added, “For now, pick up your smartphone to Google search for oe of the persons which are mentioned above this content you just might find a surprise video answer waiting for you”.
